Mike brings a pragmatic approach to litigation. He helps his clients effectively and economically manage risk and uncertainty. Mike’s practice focuses on real estate litigation, trust litigation, estate litigation, and entity (corporation, LLC, partnership) litigation. He also takes on matters involving personal injury litigation, government contract litigation, and government relations. He draws on his public sector experience from years of service as an Army Judge Advocate.

Mike is involved in several charitable organizations, particularly those supporting military personnel and conservation issues. He adheres to a strict outdoor activity regimen to keep his mind limber and keeps a copy of Marcus Aurelius' Meditations on his desk for regular reference.

Mike is licensed to practice law in the State of Montana (2008) and District of Columbia (2009). He is admitted to practice by the United States Supreme Court (2013), the Court of Federal Claims (2009), the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces (2008), and the United States District Court for the District of Montana (2008).
